Toku is a little tiger with a big dream. After becoming the youngest chef to own a fancy Michelin-star restaurant, he realizes the best meals aren’t about being fancy... they’re about sharing joy with friends everywhere! So Toku hops into his taco truck, hits the road, and travels from town to town serving tasty treats, making new friends, and turning every stop into a fun-filled adventure for preschoolers ages 3+.
Inspired by the girls group at the Jacaranda Foundation, this project was created to encourage connection, self-expression, and education among young girls. Through personalized journals, handwritten letters, self-portraits, and interactive zines, the project aimed to create meaningful encouragement for girls working to stay in school and build supportive community spaces together.
Marynel Arias is a Toy Design student at Otis College of Art and Design who transforms imagination into meaningful play experiences. She is passionate about creating preschool toys that nurture empathy, collecting miniature figures that tell expansive stories, and developing characters that inhabit vibrant, whimsical worlds. Her work celebrates the wonder of childhood, where learning and laughter exist hand in hand.With a background as a cellist, Marynel brings a unique sensitivity to rhythm, harmony, and emotional expression into her design practice. She approaches toys as more than objects, but as experiences that can resonate deeply with users, believing that, like music, play has the power to move people in subtle yet lasting ways. Through her work, she aims to create thoughtful, engaging designs that encourage connection, imagination, and emotional growth.

Bubz is a bubbly pop-star doll line where music, friendship, and surprise unboxing come together in one tiny can. Each 3-inch collectible doll represents a different soda flavor and band member, including stars like Gracie, Suni, and Sheri.Kids ages 3+ can shake the mystery soda can, pop the tab to “release the bubbles,” and twist open the top to reveal their doll and matching instrument inside. But the real magic starts when the instrument is attached, each character plays her own unique rhythm, and when friends collect more Bubz members, the band connects to create one full song together. Bubz turns every unboxing into a mini concert packed with sweet surprises and playful imagination.
